I have made many of the recipes from this book now. And I've loved every single one. There are a lot of basic how to dehydrate books on the market. This is not one of those. This a book about how to have fun and make yummy goodies with your dehydrator. I have recommended this book in my various dehydrating groups and friends have now also purchased it and loved it. Any book can tell you how to dehydrate a fruit or vegetable. This book has Innovative recipes such as spicy coconut maple pumpkin chips. Normally you don't know what to do with your Halloween pumpkins. I was looking for extras from friends because I wanted to make more of those awesome chips. This book contains recipes for how to make your own healthy corn chips, garlic zucchini chips, delicious double dehydrated coconut vanilla banana chips and so much more. The double dehydrated balsamic strawberries were like eating strawberry wine candies. This book also does have the basic information about dehydrating but it lets you go beyond that to make healthy and delicious snacks and treats. It has recipes for main dishes, desserts, and even treats for your pets. It has recipes for herbs and seasonings, crackers and flatbreads, beef jerky and fruit roll-ups, just all kinds of things. It even has a recipe for how to make your own dehydrated mirepoix so that you have the ingredients to make soup whenever you need it. You don't have to rush out to the store or have fresh carrots onions and celery in the house.

Nice cookbook but not what I had imagined. There are nice recipes but not the total instruction I was hoping for as a beginner in dehydration. If you are a seasoned dehydrator I feel this would be good but not for just beginning.

Great book for all things that involve dehydrating. Tips and tricks across the board for meats, fruits, etc. The book makes things easy and you feel like a pro. I highly recommend for people new to the hobby or experienced alike. A must have for any fan of dehydrating foods.

this book has some interesting recipes. Blueberries with lemon curd. haven't tried it yet but I'm going to.

Have used it an the results are great. Dried enough meat for jerky to last us the whole of a three week trip.

After reading the positive reviews I decided this was the Dehydrating book for me. The book is well written, the pictures are nice and there are a ton of recipes, but I gave it a 4 star because I didn't learn anything about the basics for preparing Blue, Black, Cran and Raspberries for Dehydrating. A quick guide on bananas, grapes, plums, kiwi, mango, cherries and strawberries, but no other berries are mentioned. I make my own protein bars and add Dehydrated blueberries, cherries, cranberries and blackberries I purchase from our local Health food store, so felt it would be less costly to do this myself. I use my Dehydrator most often for my home grown Herbs and learned how to prepare them and Dehydrate from the book Rosemary Gladstar's" Medicinal Herbs" for beginners.

Wonderful detailed instructions with photos. Can’t wait to be able to use a lot of these recipes.
